Mechanical Construction Works
What Does Mechanical Construction Work Mean?
Mechanical installation is one of the 4 basic types of projects in the construction sector: static, architectural, electrical and mechanical. It is all of the works of heating, cooling, ventilation, clean and waste water, sanitary hot water and fire extinguishing systems, which fall within the scope of mechanical engineering in construction and construction works.
Mechanical engineers and draftsmen prepare the mechanical installation.

Mechanical installation; It consists of 7 components: Heating system, Cooling system, Ventilation system, Clean water system, Waste water system, Hot water system and Fire extinguishing system. Recently, it has become two basic disciplines working together, almost combining with electrical installation projects as electromechanics. Mechanical installation projects are prepared by mechanical engineers and technical painters. In these projects, which determine the mechanical infrastructure of buildings and industrial facilities, the water, waste water, heating, cooling, ventilation, fire prevention system of the building, the types and powers of their devices, where the clean water and sewerage lines of the building will pass, and the pipe diameters are specified. The main components of the mechanical installation are located in places called mechanical rooms or engine rooms.
What are Mechanical Construction Works?
- HEATING: It covers the installation systems that provide heating of the building. Heating boilers or other heating equipment also includes radiators, fan-coils, convectors
- COOLING: It covers the systems that provide cooling of the building in hot periods. Fluid cooler (chiller), air conditioner etc. and Fan coil cover air conditioners.
- VENTILATION: It is the supply of clean air and the evacuation of polluted air in order to keep the air in the building fresh and clean and to ensure the comfort of living things.
- SANITARY INSTALLATION: It provides comfortable supply of water-related needs within the building, and covers the domestic water and drinking water systems and pressurization.
- WASTE WATER: It ensures that the wastewater generated in the building is safely and comfortably delivered to the outside of the building and to the main wastewater system. It is related to the sewerage and water expenses of the building.
- HOT WATER: It provides the production of hot water required for cleaning, washing and various needs. It covers hot water production systems such as natural gas, coal and diesel.
- FIRE EXTINGUISHING: It is a system that includes fire cabinets, extinguishing equipment and barriers, which allows to intervene in a short time and effectively in case of fire.
